We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accountant/Finance Manager to be an integral part of a growing, International business.
Our client manufactures power supplies for mobile electronics and stationary equipment. They work with OEM customers at design stage and specification. The company originally started designing battery chargers and subcontracting the manufacture to a factory in China. In 1999, they started working on big turn key projects and, in 2001, established a Joint Venture factory. They now employ 7000 staff based in two factories in China and have offices in London, the US, Brazil and Hong Kong. The company turnover was $30M in 2007 and they are continuing to grow.
Due to this continued expansion, they are now seeking to employ a Finance Manager in their London office. This individual will be responsible for both the hands-on and strategic management of the Financial affairs of the business in the UK and Hong Kong. Longer term, this person would ideally also take responsibility for the financial management of the operations in China, Brazil and the US, and move into a CFO role.
Main responsibilities will include:
Overseeing financial functions such as Payroll, Invoicing and Credit Control. Ensuring that the correct systems and processes are in place so that these function efficiently. Becoming hands-on when necessary to resolve any issues.
Preparing Budgets, Monthly and Year End Accounts for the business in accordance with local legislation and managing Corporate Governance issues.
Managing financial strategies for the business in terms of purchasing, costing and pricing.
Overseeing the purchasing systems at a strategic level, using SAP system to manage this effectively.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant with experience working in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment. This person must be capable of strategic management but must also be happy in a hands-on role.
