Non-Executive Director
We have an exciting opportunity for a Non-Executive Director.
Our Client manufactures control systems for the process and subsea markets.
They are part of a global organisation and have a number of other divisions within manufacture, electronics and automation.
This is a truly exciting opportunity for someone to come into a rapidly expanding business, dealing with a variety of products which already have a recognised brand name within the market place.
During this current economic time they are particularly keen for someone with strong board level experience during tough financial times.
Responsibilities will include:
· Attending and facilitating board meetings with the Chairman and Managing Director.
· Acting as a guide and sounding board for the senior team.
· Going over details of accounts and figures prior to meetings.
· Taking an active role in ensuring the organisation works towards its key missions.
· Taking responsibility along with other board members for ensuring they comply with all legal requirements.
· Utilising experience of sitting on committees/Boards of major organisations to ensure progress towards objectives.
· Promoting good board practice.
· Providing strategic guidance and oversights, particularly looking at the economic climate and helping shape these goals at board meetings.
This role will suit someone who has had main board experience with significant responsibility within a much larger organisation. They will have had experience of market or economic change and be fantastic at keeping up morale. A background within manufacturing, oil and gas, process control or electronics would be ideal.
